Privacy policy

Last updated: March 2, 2026. This policy covers raindelaylog.com, the marketing website for RainDelayLog. It is written to be read once, in full, without a lawyer sitting next to you.

Who is responsible for your data

The controller is MLJ, SASU, the company that publishes RainDelayLog, represented by Jimenez Julien. Any question about this policy, and any request to see, correct or delete your data, goes to jimenezjulien42@gmail.com. There is no data protection officer, because the company is small and the publication director handles these requests himself.

What the contact form collects

The contact form on the home page is the only place this website asks you for information. When you submit it, these fields are transmitted and stored:

• name: your full name, so a reply can be addressed to a person.
• email: your work email address, which is the only channel used to answer you.
• company: the company name on your contract, used to understand the context of your request.
• role: your role on the job, chosen from a fixed list such as superintendent or project executive.
• request: what you want from the call, chosen from a fixed list.
• size: the number of active job sites you are running, chosen from a fixed range.
• message: the free text you write about the job that is costing you weather time.
• consent: the record that you ticked the consent box before sending.

Four hidden fields travel with the submission and contain no personal information about you: form-name identifies which form was used, subject labels the notification email, recipient routes the message to the publisher, and bot-field is an empty honeypot that catches automated spam. Your browser also transmits a timestamp and an IP address to the hosting provider as part of the ordinary mechanics of sending a form over the internet.

Why we are allowed to hold it

For visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation, given by ticking the consent box, together with our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) in answering a commercial enquiry that you started. For visitors in the United States, the collection is limited to what you voluntarily submit in order to receive a reply. We do not buy contact lists, we do not enrich your submission with data from third party brokers, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising.

How long submissions are kept

An enquiry that does not lead to a commercial relationship is deleted twenty four months after the last message exchanged with you. If you become a customer, the enquiry is kept for the life of the account and then for the retention period set out in the terms of service. You can ask for earlier deletion at any point and it will be carried out within thirty days, unless a specific legal obligation requires the record to be kept longer.

Who processes it

Form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States, which hosts this website and operates Netlify Forms. Netlify acts as our processor and stores the submission until it is retrieved and removed. Replies are sent from a standard business email account operated by the publisher. No other company receives your submission, and no third party is given access to it for their own purposes.

Cookies, analytics and trackers

This website sets no advertising cookies and no third party analytics cookies. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising network tag, no session replay recorder and no social media widget that reports your visit back to a platform. The fonts used on these pages are served by Google Fonts, which receives the request needed to deliver the font files. If you never submit the contact form, this website holds nothing that identifies you.

Your rights in the United States

Depending on where you live, state privacy law gives you specific rights over the information described above. Residents of California under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, Colorado under the CPA, Connecticut under the CTDPA, Utah under the UCPA and Virginia under the VCDPA may request to know what personal information is held, to receive a copy of it, to correct inaccuracies, and to have it deleted. You may also confirm that we do not sell or share personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling, because we do neither. Exercising any of these rights will never result in a worse response, a slower reply or a different price.

Your rights in the European Union

If the GDPR applies to you, you hold the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and you may withdraw a consent you have given at any time without affecting processing already carried out. Requests are answered within one month. If you believe your data has been mishandled you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority, and in France that authority is the CNIL.

How to exercise your rights

Send one email to jimenezjulien42@gmail.com describing what you want done. Write from the address you used on the form where possible, because that is how we confirm the request comes from you. No account, no form and no portal is required, and the request costs nothing.

International transfers

The publisher is established in France and the hosting provider is established in the United States, so a submission made from Europe is transferred to the United States. Those transfers rely on the European Commission standard contractual clauses incorporated into the hosting provider's data processing agreement, along with the technical measures that provider applies. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest during that transfer.

Children

RainDelayLog is a business product sold to construction companies and is not directed at children. This website does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen years of age. If you believe a child has submitted information through the contact form, write to the address above and the record will be deleted promptly.

Security and changes

Traffic to this site is served over HTTPS, submissions are encrypted in transit and at rest, and access to the mailbox that receives them is protected by multi factor authentication. If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page with a new date at the top, and material changes affecting existing enquiries are announced by email to the people concerned.
